Hi, I’m Inga, the artist behind LEGENTEDDY.
I create one-of-a-kind teddy bears by hand, but I’ve never really thought of them as simply toys. Each one begins with a colour, a fabric, an expression or a tiny idea of a personality, and slowly becomes its own character.
Some are elegant. Some are eccentric. Some look as if they already have a whole story they’re not going to tell you.
Every bear is made individually from carefully chosen materials, with hand-finished details and no intention of making another exactly the same.
LEGENTEDDY grew from my love of traditional teddy bear making, but I want the characters themselves to feel contemporary, expressive and a little unexpected.
My favourite moment is when someone looks at one of them and immediately thinks: that one is mine.
